Muhammad Naeem:

Islamabad:Pakistan made a bold entrance at London Tech Week 2025 today with the official launch of its national pavilion—an exciting showcase of the country’s growing influence in the global tech arena.

The Pakistan Pavilion at Stall 55, Olympia London, was inaugurated by Dr. Samina Zehra, Economic Minister at the High Commission for Pakistan in the UK, alongside Mr. Abu Bakar, CEO of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in the presence of tech delegates, media, and international business leaders.

“As someone closely associated with economic and tech diplomacy, I’m proud to see our tech ecosystem making its mark at such a prestigious event,” said Dr. Samina Zehra. “ Pakistan is on its way to becoming a serious contender in the digital economy, and the conversations starting here today will play a key role in that journey .

Led by PSEB in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the country’s participation reflects a sharpened focus on tech diplomacy, export expansion, and international investor engagement. Day 1 was marked by a flurry of activity, featuring B2B networking, solution demos, media walkthroughs, and strategic introductions to global buyers and stakeholders.

“Pakistan is home to a vibrant, future-ready tech industry with a strong digital talent pipeline, global delivery capabilities, and a growing innovation footprint,” said Mr. Abu Bakar. “The UK is Pakistan’s second-largest market for tech exports, and we are here to strengthen that partnership further.”

The Pavilion features 14 of Pakistan’s leading technology companies working across AI, SaaS, fintech, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital health. In parallel, a delegation of companies began curated B2B meetings, exploring cross-border collaboration and investment pathways.

As part of its broader outreach strategy, PSEB also launched a city-wide “Think Tech, Think Pakistan” campaign, with 50 branded black cabs circling key London zones including Olympia, central business areas, and the Pakistan High Commission. The campaign invites locals and visitors to engage with Pakistan’s evolving tech narrative by spotting a cab, posting on social media using #ThinkTechThinkPakistan, and entering a lucky draw for a return trip to Lahore or a $1,000 cash prize.

Pakistan’s Day 1 presence set a confident tone, positioning the country not just as a service provider but as a strategic digital partner for the future.
