Islamabad: Pakistan has been selected to host the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026, a move that highlights the country’s expanding role in the Asia-Oceania tech landscape, a statement said on Friday.

The announcement was made at the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2025 in Chinese Taipei, reflecting strong confidence in Pakistan’s ability to bring together regional digital leaders and advance shared technology goals.

P@SHA Chairperson Sajjad Mustafa Syed said the selection is a major endorsement of Pakistan’s digital strength and global standing. He said the country is ready to welcome top tech leaders next year and present a fast-evolving digital ecosystem that continues to gain international attention.

Pakistan also posted a strong showing at this year’s summit, with seven local companies winning ASOCIO ICT Awards 2025 across categories including AI, enterprise technology and digital services. A delegation of 15 firms represented Pakistan in award tracks and policy discussions, underlining the country’s increasing capability across the ICT sector.

During the general assembly and council meeting, P@SHA held wide-ranging discussions with ASOCIO Chairperson Stan Singh and delegations from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and other member economies. Talks centred on policy alignment, talent development and expanding digital trade. P@SHA also met with CISA and industry groups across Asia-Pacific to explore joint ventures, BPO partnerships and tech talent exchange programmes.
