Wasim Akram disappointed by Pakistan’s second Test defeat to Bangladesh
Talha Javed:
Lahore:Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said he was disappointed after Pakistan lost the second Test match to Bangladesh, and praised Bangladesh for their excellent performance in all areas of the game.
Akram said Bangladesh fully deserved credit for playing “complete cricket”, adding that the side had made significant progress in the longer format of the game.
He observed that Bangladesh, once known for producing low and slow turning pitches, were now preparing quality Test surfaces which suited their fast bowlers.
The former captain said Bangladesh’s pace attack outclassed Pakistan with speed and discipline, adding that the team was now ready to compete against the world’s leading Test sides.
Akram also praised young fast bowler Nahid Rana, calling him an exceptional talent and a pleasure to watch.
