Shaheen Afridi likely to receive PCB NOC for Lanka Premier League 2026

Lahore: Sources revealed that the left-arm fast bowler has signed a contract to play in the 2026 edition of the Lanka Premier League and has formally applied to the PCB for an NOC to take part in the tournament. The board is expected to grant the approval.
The 2026 Lanka Premier League is scheduled to run from July 17 to August 8, marking the return of Sri Lanka’s premier franchise T20 competition.
The tournament will open with a high-profile clash between defending champions Jaffna and runners-up Galle at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground under floodlights, in a repeat of the 2024 final.
The opening fixture is set to begin at 7:30pm local time, followed by the tournament’s official opening ceremony.
According to the confirmed schedule, matches will be held across four major venues before the knockout stage and final return to Colombo.
