Australian captain Mitchell Marsh ruled out of Pakistan series

Lahore: Australian batter Josh Inglis will captain the visitors in the forthcoming ODI series against Pakistan, slating to begin from Saturday.
According to details, the Cricket Australia said captain Mitchell Marsh is suffering from an ankle injury and has been ruled out of the series.
Earlier on Monday, Australian batter Matthew Short addressed a press conference and admitted Australia’s recent performances in spin-friendly conditions had been disappointing.
He said Pakistan could not be taken lightly in a home series and added that Australia would not face any difficulty adapting to the warm weather in Pakistan.
Matthew Short also praised security arrangements in Pakistan, saying the Australian side had always enjoyed touring the country.
He said the absence of a few senior players had created a good opportunity for younger cricketers to prove themselves.
The Australian batter added that although the World Cup was still some distance away, the team’s focus remained firmly on the mega event.
