Resolve, courage of forces, people remain unshaken: Asim Munir

Islamabad:Asim Munir visited frontline troops stationed along the western border in Balochistan’s Zhob district to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with officers and soldiers serving on the Pak-Afghan frontier.

According to ISPR, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Munir reached the front lines in Zhob district of Balochistan to spend Eid with troops deployed along the western frontiers. 

The visit began with Eid prayers, which he offered alongside military officers and soldiers.

Special supplications were made for Pakistan’s lasting peace, stability and prosperity. Prayers were also offered for the elevated ranks of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the motherland.

Tribute paid to soldiers’ courage and sacrifices

Extending Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to their unparalleled bravery and sacrifices. He commended the troops for their exceptional grit, unwavering resolve, operational readiness and steadfast vigilance.

The army chief appreciated their determination in the face of terrorism sponsored by hostile and foreign-backed elements.

Field Marshal Munir said the troops are playing a vital role in protecting Pakistan from the menace of terrorism and threats sponsored by inimical forces. He praised their courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation and defending the country’s sovereignty and security.

Quetta terrorist attack condemned

Referring to the recent cowardly terrorist attack in Quetta, the army chief said such inhuman and brutal acts cannot weaken the morale of the Pakistan armed forces or the nation. ISPR said the incident was orchestrated by Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan and its proxies.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said the resolve and courage of the armed forces and the people of Pakistan remain strong and unshaken.

Operations to continue with full force

The army chief reiterated that the armed forces, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies and the people of Balochistan, will continue operations against terrorism. He said all facilitators, abettors and perpetrators of terrorism will be pursued with full force.

Upon his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the Commander Quetta Corps. The visit underscored the military leadership’s continued focus on frontline troops and security challenges along the western border.

Floral wreath laid at Yadgar-e-Shuhada

Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada and laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial. He paid homage to the brave sons of the soil who embraced martyrdom in defence of the motherland.

The Army Chief saluted the martyrs’ sacrifices and honoured their families for their courage and resilience.
