PM Shehbaz reaches Lahore after wrapping up four-day China visit
Ibrar Hussain:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif returned to Lahore on Tuesday after completing a four-day official visit to China, accompanied by a high-level delegation including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar and Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja accompanied the prime minister on his arrival. Special assistant to the prime minister, Syed Tariq Fatemi also arrived in Lahore.
Strict security arrangements were put in place during the prime minister’s visit to Lahore. Members of the political and diplomatic team accompanying the prime minister also reached the city.
The chief of protocol and senior officials were present to receive the prime minister. Important meetings and consultative sessions are expected during the prime minister’s stay in Lahore.
Earlier, addressing a ceremony at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, PM Shehbaz said Pakistan and China would transform their iron-clad brotherhood into an economic revolution.
He said Pakistan would achieve targets in agriculture, industry, research and other sectors through bilateral cooperation.
The prime minister also offered the management of the Pakistan Agriculture Research Centre to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
He announced that 1,000 agricultural graduates would be sent to Chinese universities for higher studies and training.
