Field Marshal vows to continue war against terrorism with full national resolve

Islamabad:Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism with full national resolve during a ceremony honouring the families of martyrs, officers, and soldiers of the Pakistan Army.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the ceremony for the conferment of military awards was attended by senior officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army, where Field Marshal Asim Munir presented honours to the families of martyrs as well as serving officers and soldiers.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said the peace and security of the motherland were indebted to the supreme sacrifices rendered by the martyrs. He paid tribute to the courage, patience and sacrifices of the families of the martyrs.
He said the operational preparedness and resolve of the Pakistan Army and law-enforcement agencies were commendable. The war against terrorism would continue with complete national resolve, while operations against terrorists would persist until lasting peace and stability were achieved.
According to the ISPR, 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) awards and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat awards were conferred during the ceremony. Posthumous awards were received by the families of the martyrs.
The Field Marshal has termed the martyrs and war veterans as the pride of the nation.
