Pakistan, China agree to boost strategic ties on regional, global affairs

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has concluded his four-day official visit to China, where both countries reaffirmed their long-standing friendship and commitment to deeper strategic cooperation.
A joint statement was issued in Islamabad following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China. According to the statement, the prime minister paid a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.
The statement said the visit focused on strengthening Pakistan-China relations and expanding cooperation in regional and global affairs.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also held formal talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
Pakistan-China friendship called valuable asset
The joint statement described the traditional Pakistan-China friendship as a valuable asset for both countries and their peoples. It said that despite changing regional and global circumstances, Pakistan-China friendship has remained rock-solid.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to carrying this relationship forward.
Prime Minister Sharif also participated in celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. The event highlighted the historic partnership, mutual trust and deep-rooted cooperation between the two countries.
ccording to the joint statement, the prime minister also made a successful visit to Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. The visit formed part of his broader official engagements in China.
PM leaves for Pakistan
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for home after completing what officials described as a successful visit to China.
At the conclusion of the visit, he was seen off by the Vice Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary General of the China-CEEC Cooperation Secretariat.
